Today we finished up most of our first plant videos and posted them online. Mr. Mark shared some more information with us about basic video information. We learned about:
- Camera angles (extreme close up (shows details and emotions), close up (shows detail and emotion), medium shot (about 1/2 of subject and some of the background) and wide shot (shows the entire thing - and what's around something - where the picture is taking place)
- Composition and Framing (rule of thirds, horizon line)
- Headroom (amount of space between the subject and the top of the frame)
- Noseroom (leadspace - amount of space in front of your subject - makes it look like your subject has room to move - think of rule of thirds when creating noseroom)
- Low Angle (camera gets down low and shoots up high - makes your subject look more powerful and stronger)
- High Angle (camera up high shooting down low - makes subject look weaker or less strong)
- Point of View (shows viewers what the world looks like through someone else's eyes)
